Chewy and Crisp Holiday Cookie?

Hi Bakers, Sometimes it's fun to try something new. Looking for an easy but unusual (naturally gluten-free) holiday cookie? I've been baking for decades, and I’d never even heard of them until last week when I stumbled upon Food and Wine’s recipe for German Zimtsterne cookies. Try them if you want a chewy cinnamon-flavored cookie with crisp meringue icing. You need blanched almond flour, a star cookie cutter, and a few other kitchen staples to start baking. These cute cookies disappeared fast and quickly became a new favorite with my husband. I used a 1.5 inch cutter with no other modifications with great results. Have you tried these cookies? ~Carolyn
