Curried Pumpkin Spice Hummus

Hi Bakers, This recipe started out as a fail. The pumpkin spice white bean hummus recipe I made was Ok, but just Ok. Maybe I don’t like dessert with beans... How do I fix this sweet hummus?? I made it CURRY pumpkin Spice Hummus. The deep, rich turmeric, ginger and curry powder with a bit of heat are the perfect complement to sweet pumpkin spice. This is pretty sweet, so if you want this dish more savory, add less honey. Would you try this crazy Fall hummus flavor? Enjoy ~Carolyn
Curried Pumpkin Spice Hummus
1 can white beans or garbanzo beans
1/3 cup tahini
2/3 cup Libby’s pumpkin puree
1/3 cup honey
3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons candied ginger
1 tablespoon vegan butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
pinch of salt
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Garnish with olive oil, coconut chips, candied ginger, pistachios, and a dusting of turmeric. Serve with crackers, pretzels and veggies.
