It makes an extra fruity thick and delicious smoothie bowl when paired with frozen blackberries. Using @navitas organic pomegranate powder with concentrated flavor in the smoothie plus more mixed with honey on top brings tons of tart fruity-ness to this summer treat.
I used a blender to make my thick smoothie bowl because I don’t own a Ninja Foodi Smoothie Bowl Maker. Use the following tips help you achieve the right spoonable texture.
1. Chill your bowl to keep the smoothie from melting.
2. Use as little liquid as possible
3. Blend and scrape multiple times.
Thick and Delicious
Berry Pomegranate Smoothie Bowl
3 cups frozen blackberries
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup oat milk or apple juice
3 tablespoons freeze dried pomegranate
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Toppings
blackberries frozen or fresh
blueberries
pistachios
coconut shavings
pomegranate honey (mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon pomegranate powder)
Chill the bowl before blending by placing in the freezer. Blend ingredients well mixing frequently until the mixture is thick and smooth. This will take a few times scraping the mixture off the sides of the blender and rebounding. Fill the bowl with the smoothie and cover artfully with lots of toppings. Enjoy!
