Spiced Cranberry Pear Sauce with Fresh Ginger
1 eight-ounce bag of cranberries
1/2 cup light brown sugar or more to taste
1/2 cup water
3 fresh ginger slices 1/4 thick
2 firm pears, 1/4” diced and peeled
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until thickened. Stir while cooking and if the sauce gets too thick don’t be afraid to add more water. Remove from heat and discard the ginger slices. Cool and serve. Garnish with candied ginger. Enjoy!
