Get that fancy brunch feel in a few minutes. You need some cream cheese and lemon curd plus the usual french toast ingredients to make this Gluten-Free Lemon and Cream Stuffed French Toast.
Put an 1/8” thick layer of cream cheese on both pieces of bread and leave a divot in the middle to put a ~ 1 tablespoon of lemon curd into. Gently press cheese sides of bread together at the edges. Maker French toast as usual but follow these tips
-Do a quick dip in egg/milk mixture so the toast doesn’t get too soggy
-use good jarred lemon curd for the best possible flavor. I like Trader Joes and Wilkin & Sons brand
-Use a bit of butter with the oil for great browning while cooking
**MOST IMPORTANT TIP**Cook just long enough to brown on both sides..if you cook it too long the lemon starts seeping out and catastrophic toast fail is imminent…actually the two pieces of toast just start to separate and its still fine to eat just a bit less pretty :)
