TIPS
Stuffing is only as good as what you put in it! So use things with flavor :)
This tasty stuffing won’t fall apart and is perfect with or without gravy. Here are my best tips for success.
-Brown your butter before adding it to the stuffing. You get some complex flavors that make everything taste better.
-Homemade broth is more flavorful than a boxed ! I boil turkey bits with boxed broth to make it have more flavor.
Use good gluten-free bread and dry it yourself. Boxed stuffing seems like the same thing but, I’ve found it often turns to mush My favorite breads are from Canyon Bakehouse and Trader Joes.
-Adjust the seasoning to your taste. Every family has their favorite additions and amounts of spice. This recipe is pretty basic and made to tweak as needed.
-Buy new spices so they have lots of flavor or use some fresh chopped ones instead.
Taste your stuffing before going in the oven. Yes I know it’s soggy bread but, it was my mom’s trick and her way of knowing if the ratio of bread to veggies was correct and if more herbs were needed.
