Sticky Chewy Fudge Sauce

Hi Bakers,

What's better than hot fudge? How about warm and chewy fudge?? And of course, it’s gluten-free! You need this on everything! Sticky Chewy Fudge Sauce is thick and gets chewy when you pour it over ice cream or any other cold treat. Make it in a few minutes and try not to eat it before buying the ice cream. It’s the perfect way to make a special treat (Valentine’s or Galentine’s or any day) with ease…just top your favorite ice cream with a thick drizzle of this and a big scoop of homemade whipped cream. Sticky Chewy Fudge Sauce

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup cream or condensed milk

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons butter

1 egg yolk in a small bowl

In a small saucepan heat sugar and milk while stirring.

Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves and the mixture boils. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate and butter.

Stir about 1/4 cup of hot chocolate mixture into egg yolk while whisking vigorously.

Add egg yolk/chocolate mixture to the saucepan and whisk until thoroughly mixed. Place back on the heat and cook for a minute while stirring. The sauce will become shiny. Remove sauce from heat and use immediately or store until ready to use. The sauce will become thicker when cold. Enjoy!
