London Fog Iced Tea with Lavender Sweet Cream

Hi Bakers, It's Summer and that means I am having something with my phenomenal Lavender Simple Syrup in it...today is no exception. This is an Iced Tea you’ll want on repeat! This London Fog Iced Tea with Lavender Sweet Cream is the perfect hot weather drink. Make the Lavender syrup or buy your favorite. London Fog Iced Tea with Lavender Sweet Cream
Steep two Earl Grey tea bags in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes and remove. Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of lavender simple syrup over the ice. Next, pour in the tea. Top with lavender sweet cream cold foam. Add a drizzle of lavender on top and garnish with fresh lavender flowers.
Lavender Sweet Cream Cold Foam
1 tablespoon lavender simple syrup
3 tablespoons cream
2 tablespoons milk
Optional 2 drops of each red and blue Natural food coloring
Add ingredients to a small jar and shake until thickened. Use immediately.
Lavender Flower and Vanilla Simple Syrup
1 tablespoon fresh lavender flowers*
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
Color with a few blueberries boiled into syrup or a few drops of natural blue food coloring
Boil the fresh lavender, sugar and water until the sugar dissolves and the liquid thickens to a thin syrup consistency. Add the vanilla, pea flower tea and dried lavender. Bring to a boil. Taste the syrup, If you want more flavor, add a bit more dried lavender and bring to a boil cooking until the syrup thickens. Remove from the heat. Strain into a jar and add a few drops food coloring if you want a more vibrant syrup. Store in the fridge for 1 week.
* One tablespoon is about three small sprigs worth. Make sure the flowers are unsprayed and washed.
